They had to wear masks to school the whole year, but at least they were able to go to school!!! I felt so lucky that in-person school was in session here, as it wasn't in many parts of the country and world. I expected it to last a couple of weeks at most before they sent kids back to on-line school due to Covid cases on the rise, so I tried soaking up each day, and then week that they went to school. Then when Christmas break came around, I thought FOR SURE they wouldn't be going back to in-person school and was trying to psych myself up for the torture of on-line school again, but it never happened! They went to in-person school the entire year! The restrictions due to Covid included: masks all day except when outside, parents weren't allowed in the school, any treats brought to school had to sit in quarantine for 3 days before they could be given out (this included Valentines), homework couldn't be brought to and from school, parent teacher conferences took place via Zoom.
