More books I read that month.
I received a half off coupon for this cool kids' rock climbing place so we finally got to go! They had a lot of fun.
One day Teya and Dallin were fighting so much that I told them they were both grounded from friends until they started getting along better with each other, so they immediately said they weren't fighting, "look!" And ran and hugged each other, smiling. It was pretty funny!
Dallin's piano recital
Cartwheels in Walmart.
On Memorial Day, we again went to the Provo Cemetery for their Memorial Day program. Jared was able to go with us this year and we all enjoyed it SO MUCH! The speaker gave an incredible speech that Jared and I couldn't stop thinking/talking about, and we all enjoyed walking around and looking at the names and dates on gravestones. Such a great experience that I hope to take part in every year! (Also, this year it was COLD!!! IN MAY!!!)
We were notified by email that Teya was to receive an award at the school award ceremony. We thought it would be for Honor Roll all year, but it was actually from her Social Studies teacher for being an outstanding student! Also, they gave each student who received straight A's all year an award, but Teya didn't get it because she had ONE A- at the beginning of the school year!! So lame that they don't count that at straight A's!
Nolan has Jared's interest in how things are put together, and desire to fix things. Here he is putting together the new shelf we got for his closet after Dallin finally moved out of their room and back into his own room.
My fur baby
After ALLLLLL of that work on the yard last year, it is SO satisfying to see my kids and their friends playing out there! (That's Tucker's ear in the picture above, he loves to sit and watch anyone in the backyard).
One evening, Dallin adorably set up these chairs in our office so that we could come in and sit and he could put on a piano performance for us. Teya and Nolan each performed too.
Reading to Nolan one day and Dallin and Tucker joined us.
Helping out at the end of the year pancake breakfast in Dallin's class.
Dallin and his best friends (missing Manti) in his class, Britton and Tanner. These 3 plus Manti got in a bit of trouble goofing off together this year, so I requested that he NOT be put in Manti or Tanner's class again next year. (Dallin and Britton have never gotten in trouble in school before, it was just a bad combination of close friends who are class clowns)!
This dog LOVES me! As soon as he's let out of his kennel each morning, he races FULL SPEED into my room, jumps on my bed looking for me, if I'm not there he'll race to my bathroom to look for me there. Seriously obsessed with me.
Still working on that 3rd driveway spot. Finally got the retaining wall up to hold up the driveway and this day we were working on gluing the drainage pipe together that will be under the driveway. I can't wait until this dang project is finished!!!
Nolan started soccer! He is much more aggressive during games than I expected! Dallin also really surprised us in that he is VERY into Nolan's games and can't sit down because he's constantly jumping up and yelling instructions to Nolan.
Nolan stayed home sick from school this day so I had him do some school work. I was surprised that he knew how to add these big numbers. (He drew the x and check mark for me to circle if he got it right or wrong).
For scouts one week, the boys got to go to a donut shop and make their own donuts!
One day Nolan and I were driving home from somewhere and decided to try and find the end of this rainbow and drove through neighborhoods hunting it down. We finally found it over the water at this park. Nolan was so cute about it!
For our family lesson after church one Sunday, Nolan and I were in charge so we planned for me to dress up really dirty and for him to explain how we shouldn't judge people on their outward appearance, because if Mommy went to the store like this, would we want people to judge her for how she looked? Or are there things about her that we would want people to know about her (and he had everyone list a few nice things about me that strangers wouldn't know). It was pretty funny to see everyone's faces when I walked out like this!
Jared and the kids deep cleaned the car one day while I was gone.
