May 2021

Jared was given permission to tow this mini excavator home from work one day to help Brian with his backyard.

We chose a new stud this time to breed Rue with. Our last stud was all poodle, so Rue's puppies were mostly poodle, so I wanted to use a goldendoodle stud this time to put more golden retriever back into the puppies. Also, three of the puppies last time had minor bite issues, so other breeders recommended trying a different stud this time. This adorable little guy is a 6 lb goldendoodle owned by the same breeder we got Rue from (no relation)! I got her progesterone tested on April 30, and she wasn't ready. He coudn't retest her on Sunday, so the breeder suggested I bring her to get the AI on Sunday just so that we didn't miss her fertile window, and then get her progesterone tested again on Monday, so that's what we did. On Monday I got her progesterone tested and it was really high, so it was good that we had done the AI the day before. We did the AI again Tuesday morning.

Teya went to her 9th grade formal this month. After the dance, they had an awards ceremony that our whole family went to. Because of covid, they didn't have the kids walk across the stage and be handed their award, but did a slide show instead. It was SO SO cool to see Teya's name listed on the 4.0 GPA list!!! We were so proud!! Sometimes I wonder if this girl was switched at birth!

This is Teya picking up her award from her school counselor. He thinks THE WORLD of Teya! Once he called to ask me about her schedule for the next school year and the first thing he said was, "Do you know how great of a kid you have? I'm sure you do, I'm sure people tell you that all the time." Teya said that anytime she walks into his office, he'll tell anyone nearby, "She has a 4.0!" haha

Giving her a high five.

Marlow, my favorite client, started back up with our company and I was able to work with him 3 times before taking the summer off!  Man I love this kid and my job!

Most recent books I read...

On May 3rd, I met up with the owner of the stud/breeder at her daughter's house, which was half way between my house and her own house, to hand Rue off to her. While there, I got to meet Rue's dad Ripken who lives with the breeder's daughter. They look so much alike! The breeder Analee took Rue home with her and did the 2nd round of AI the next morning.

Teya gave me the most thoughtful birthday present!!! A few weeks ago I had mentioned that I wanted to try getting a spray tan sometime, so she made appointments for the two of us to get them, and paid for it herself!! How sweet and thoughtful is that?! This picture is of her trying to keep her legs off the seat so that the spray wouldn't come off.

Little photoshoot of us all tan.

We played Apples to Apples after dinner and cheesecake the night of my bday.

For my birthday, my mom and dad went out to eat with us at Bombay House in Provo. It was amazing!!! Then they came back to our house to have cheese cake, made by Nancy. It was amazing, as always!

Nolan and I had just finished reading The Witches by Roal Dahle and all watched the movie together one night. Nolan and I both LOVE reading books together, and LOVE watching the movie afterwards! He always turns to me all during the movies and says, "Look! That's [so and so]!"  This time he had his hand on my arm while we watched- I can't handle how cute he is.

Mother's Day notes that Teya gets all everyone to write notes on for me.

I finally have a garden! I've been wanting to do this for years! I got the boxes from Costco and Megan took me to IFA to help me pick out the plants and seeds to plant. (She and Tommy are my gardening mentors). So on Mother's Day, we went out and planted them!

Jared set up the sprinkler system for the garden boxes.

We planted bell peppers, tomatoes, pumpkin, watermelon, carrots, raspberries and strawberries.

One day Damariny and I went to the harbor in Saratoga Springs. She was so excited when I mentioned it!

Sometimes Dallin will ask neighbors if he can cut and edge their lawn or pull weeds to earn money. Here he is weed wacking at a neighbor's house. I'm so proud of this boy!

Yep, he's asleep standing up.

Keith, Becky, Allison, Dillon and baby West came into town for Andrew and Vanessa's reception.

I'm obsessed with baby West!!

Jared trying to fix a nail hole in my tire. It ended up having 3 and we had to take it in to get fixed when his tool broke. Then they closed early that night and didn't bother giving us a call, so we were without my van all weekend...

Nolan's team for the first time, the last game of the season!

Nolan's soccer team.

Teya put on a pian and ukulele recital for her students. There were probably 40 people there! She did so great!
Ashton, Mr. Klein, Dallin and Kyson at their 6th grade graduation ceremony.

Dallin's friends after his 6th grade graduation ceremony- Dalliln and Cameron Neilson on the far right. Ashton (Dallin's' good frined) far left, Britton with the khaki pants and arms folded with Manti next to him.
