A couple of other things before we get to Bryce pictures...below are some books I read the past few months through April.
| Jared took the kids to see Godzilla at Fat Cats. |
| On a hot date. This was a rare warm day in April and we were able to it outside at Cup Bop. |
| Jared hit a deer (actually a pronghorn) on his way to work one morning! He had left early when it was dark and didn't see the pronghorn until it was in front of him and he hit it before he even had a chance to hit the breaks. Thankfully he didn't lose control or anything! His boss was so kind and offered to pay the deductible for the damage! |
| With Teya's birthday coming up, we went to the church parking lot one day to practice driving before she gets her learners permit! |
| My client Caitlin didn't have anywhere to go for an Easter Egg Hunt so I invited her over to our house to join the kids on their hunt. I picked her up and she helped me make some of our Easter dinner, then I took her home after the egg hunt. All of my clients still enjoy kids' activities, so it's fun that I can include them in my kids' activities sometimes. |
| The kids were NOT behaving well the morning that we were supposed to leave for Bryce Canyon, so I cancelled the trip. They promised to be good and surprised me by cleaning the house, haha. |
| For Spring Break, I booked a couple of nights in a motel down near Bryce Canyon. Jared couldn't take the time off work, so just the kids and I drove down. It's a little less than a 4 hour drive- there is SO much amazing scenery and so many national parks in Utah, I hope I can see it all! |
The kids' favorite part of when we go on trips is going out to eat (we never go out to eat at real restaurants at home) and staying in a hotel (motel). The first night we ate at the restaurant attached to our motel. Our motel looked cute from the outside, like a cabin, and the inside had two bedrooms, so the boys got their own room, which they loved.
Below are tons of pictures from our exploring! We stayed there two nights and went out exploring the one whole day we were there. Despite some fighting at one point and being refused entry to a museum because my boys were too rowdy, it was a great trip!
| Poor Dal was afraid of heights on the way back up the trail. He was fine going down though. |
After hiking, we went to get ice cream. We found this cute little old timey village with an ice cream shop, but it was closed, so we just had fun taking pictures.
| Nolan didn't know what he was standing behind here so it was funny to show him afterwards. |
| This pic and the ones below are from another hike outside of Bryce. It was Teya's favorite hike. |
| That night we drove to Panguitch to go find another place to eat since the area around Bryce is so remote, but the one and only option in Panguitch was a pizza restraunt. It was delicious! We got icecream afterwards at a gas station/ice cream shop. |
| The next morning we drove all over looking for a breakfast place (our hotel provided "breakfast", but it was a muffin, apple, granola bar and juice), and finally found this place! It was different but the food was good! |
