June 2020

I WILL catch up on this blog...

Teya threw Tucker a birthday party when he turned 2 and invited the small neighborhood dogs, lol.

Tucker's favorite spot to sit in the house and look out the window.

I got myself a hammock for Mother's Day last month.

This is from a project that Jared was on in SLC. The ceiling in the parking garage collapsed one day!!! Thankfully it was only the sheetrock, lighter aluminum beams and insulation that fell, not any heavy beams. It was caused by the drywaller using the wrong size screws, which Jared caught ahead of time and brought to the engineer's attention.  He changed the size of the screws in the plans, but the drywallers still used the original wrong size, and this happened not too long after. Several cars were parked under there and were damaged but thankfully no one was hurt!!

Jared and his brothers put up stairs off of our back deck!!!!!  This was probably the most exciting thing to happen to us in a LONG time!!  For the last 6-7 years we haven't been able to go into our backyard from our back door, we had to go out the front door and around the side of the house. He got the stairs, which are worth around $5000, for free from work (an extra set that was being thrown out)!
We had to teach the dogs how to go down the new stairs- they were not happy about it at first!

Father's Day

Nolan was baptized

Because of Covid, we couldn't invite anyone to the baptism, but it was still very special.

Nolan wanted to fix the light in this dollhouse so he and Jared worked on it.

Bowling, cards and lunch with my client Cameron.

Teya bleached her hair herself last month, and despite doing tons of research on how to do it safely without causing my damage to her hair, damage still happened. One night she was crying because she felt like her hair was falling out, and Nolan and Dallin were so worried about her that they went and prayed together for her that her hair wouldn't fall out. The next day I was able to get her in to a hair stylist in our neighborhood for a cut and condition, and all was good.

The Bauers made this huge slip-n-slide in their backyard and invited us over to play one day.

My client Damariny LOVES machines so I arranged a tour of a factory that makes metal parts for roofs (another one of our clients works there).  She LOVED it!

Had these cute nieces and nephews over for dinner.

Frisbee golf with client Cameron and Teya.

Teya teaching one of her piano students (Manti).

We played a lot of frisbee golf that summer. This was Father's Day evening.

From out back deck!

Geocaching

Coolest geocache spot we've ever found!

We evacuated because of the Knoll's Fire that burned up a huge portion of Saratoga Springs. God is SO good and protected all homes, people and fire fighters! The fire fighters did such an amazing job fighting this fire! We stayed the night at Melissa's and were able to go home the next morning.

Saratoga Springs on fire...

Teya's dance performance with Innovations Dance Studio

Jared put in casing around all of our windows- I've been dreaming of this for 7 years, yay!! It looks amazing!!
