Teya Turns 13!!

On Teya's actual birthday...

 I picked Teya up from school and took her out to lunch at Chick-Fil-A.

Then stopped at Crumbl for cookies!

Nolan helped me make her cake.

How in the heck and I old enough to be the parent of a TEENAGER?!?!?!

Some things about Teya at 13 years old:

-Still loves to read, but only certain books.  So much like me in that she has to be excited about a book to read it!  

-Absolutely obsessed with Harry Potter!  She read the whole series this year and this week started reading it again and is already on the 4th book!  She begs to go to Harry Potter World.

-She is super driven when it comes to school, works hard for good grades!  She got all A's and one A- this past school year!  

-She is not into sports, but wishes she was a sporty girl!

-She started taking dance classes this year and LOVES them!

-She was in her school play, but did not enjoy it, and has since lost interest in acting.

-She is still exactly like me socially: has a small group of close friends, doesn't like to hang out in big groups of people she doesn't know well, is quiet in groups unless she knows everyone very well.

-Loves watching her teeney-bopper shows on Netflix.

-Has started teaching beginner piano and ukulel lessons- she is an excellent teacher!

-Struggles with keeping her room and bathroom clean...but loves when she gets them put together!

-Hates all vegetables but broccoli is the one she can stand to eat if she has to.

-Favorite home cooked meals are: Curry chicken, loaded potatoes, Roast.  She loves any form of potatoes!

-Still enjoys writing stories, but doesn't do it as much as she used to.

-Likes Young Womens (church program) okay but not like I did.  She only likes to go to some of the weekly activities and only if her close friends are going to be there.

-Loves to stay up late and read.

-Still takes piano lessons, but hates it!  She has started playing some church songs and enjoys that more.

-Still plays the ukulele, but not as often as before.  

-She LOVES gymnastics, but it doesn't come naturally to her.  She and her friends work on it often though!

-Babysits some, would love to do it more to earn more money!

-Enjoys fixing her hair and wears make-up

-Is still a natural born leader, is always the one who organizes and basically runs all group class projects, organizes and runs a Harry Potter book club once a month or so, tried out for Student Council, etc.

-She gets along best with Nolan, she and Dallin struggle, but have their good moments too.

-Enjoys swimming, jumps on our trampoline often
